Richardson Christmas Parade

This morning was Richardson's Holiday parade and we were excited to check it out.  We were out of town last year, so this was our first year to go.  They alternate the route from year to year and this year it was within a couple miles of our house.  We went and grabbed breakfast at McDonald's and then walked from there and it was perfect.

Cooper was all ready to go in his hat and sunglasses.  Chilling in his stroller with his water and leftover breakfast.

The parade was really well put together!  We saw the mayor, the sheriff, the fire department, some police officers, the High School bands, several Girl Scout troups and Adventure Guides, and several other local businesses.

Cooper loved watching and did pretty well in the stroller.  Until an ambulance did the siren right in front of us-- there'd been other sirens and he was fine, but for some reason that one set him off and he got very upset.  So then he sat with me the rest of the time.

The theme for the parade was A Seussical Christmas so there were lots of Grinches.

And it ended with Santa and Mrs Claus coming for a visit.

The weather was perfect and it was a fun way to kick off December!
