Monday Morning Reminders

Some good reminders on my way to work this Monday morning

Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I'll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning
It's time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

You're rich in love, and You're slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and all that is within me,

bless his holy name!

Bless the Lord, O my soul,

and forget not all his benefits,

who forgives all your iniquity,

who heals all your diseases,

who redeems your life from the pit,

who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy,

who satisfies you with good

so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. (Psalm 103:1-5 ESV)

First Fall Weekend

This past weekend was busy crazy full of events

Friday night I hung out with some friends and watched the season premiere of Grey's Anatomy.  It's always so exciting when all the shows come back in the Fall (especially since they take a break that is FOUR MONTHS long).  It was fun getting to watch and made even more fun by good times with friends.

It seemed like all month I was waiting for this past weekend and our trip to the State Fair with our Young Adults Group.  So when the forecast called for lots of rain, we decided to go anyway.  It ended up only being a fraction of the group originally planning to go, but we made the best of it.

Obviously, going in the rain is not the best option.  And I might not ever choose to do it again.  BUT it definitely was way less crowded than any time I'd been before... and with the exception of the rides I got to do everything I would want to do.

After spending the day in the rain, I had soup for dinner and then we hung out and watched Disney Movies that night.

Sunday, David had tickets for the Rangers game.  It was supposed to be at 2:00 in the afternoon, but the game on Saturday was moved to Sunday due to rain, so everything was shifted around and our game ended up being at noon.  Sunday morning was a little crazy helping get everything set up for church and then having to head out... but then we made our way to Arlington.

I'll be honest, when I woke up Sunday morning to the predicted forecast and a text message informing me that there was a 40% chance of rain through the whole game, I was less than thrilled at the thought of another day spent in the rain.  But we went anyway.  And not only was it not raining, it ended up being pretty sunny and I even got a little sunburnt (go figure!)

It was a good afternoon at the game, even if the Rangers ended up losing.  Last night was spent relaxing watching a movie before another busy week starts.

I love Fall and all the fun things it brings, but I am definitely looking forward to a little break next weekend!
