November Photo a Day, Final Post

I forgot to post this one last week.  But this was one of my Black Friday tasks--a hat for my nephew!

I love that Lily came and got in the picture.  She loves the tree!

I know he was in my post for small, but really I cannot believe how big he is getting!

Photo A Day

I did not do very well taking pictures last week... but I still did over half ;)

worked on decorations for a party my friend Sarah is hosting.  Stole the craft idea from my friend Erin

Flip flops... the day before Thanksgiving.  Ridiculous

My grandfather has had some health problems recently, so I felt more grateful than usual to be able to sit with him and eat Thanksgiving dinner together

love having my Christmas playlist going!

Thanksgiving 2012

It has been a great couple of days.  We went to Palestine to visit family for Thanksgiving.  I always have so much to be thankful for, but I feel like this year especially I am feeling blessed this Thanksgiving.  The past month or so has been a crazy whirlwind with things going on with family.  I am grateful that my mom is past most of her cancer treatments and we were able to travel together for Thanksgiving.  And I was grateful yesterday that I got to eat dinner with my Grandpa who has also been facing some health problems the last couple months--it was nice to sit at the table with him and enjoy a meal together.

And today I am grateful for a day off and for getting to put up my Christmas decorations this morning!

This is my favorite part of my apartment right now:

And my newest decorations that were all made this morning:

A friend and I got together Tuesday night for a craft night and we had discussed possibilities of different wreaths... we ended up settling on a different craft, but when I saw this burlap wreath I thought it would compliment my Willow Tree nativity perfectly.  I couldn't find red burlap, but I think the regular worked well too!

And I added a few prints of Christmas songs to the area as well (it might make the area busy, but I just LOVE both these songs)
I found this O Holy Night Print on pinterest
And I made the other one based on the hook of a song on Natalie Grant's Christmas Album
It reads:
Mistletoe and falling snow and presents under the tree
But most of all, and best of all, a Savior came for me

I LOVE Christmas time and I am kind of excited that Thanksgiving was so early so Christmas season lasts longer :)

November Photo a Day Part 2

 Love my Tervis Tumbler!

Dog Included in sleeping arrangements

My friend Jill and I were in charge of making the popcorn for our agency's All Staff meeting.  Look at that container of oil/butter.  Gross

 My eval kit for work

Passed this same intersection at 3:45 am and 11:05 pm.  Friday was a long day!

Michaels had all their yarn on sale!  And I've been getting back in to knitting--we'll see how that goes

Caption for this day if you can't read it is "happened this weekend"  And guess what happened this weekend?  My 2 best friends and I had bought tickets for this weekend's Baylor game back in September, so we go to watch Baylor beat Kansas State--the #1 ranked team in the country--by 28 points.  It was amazing.

Also happened this weekend: got to spend time (though never enough time!) with both of these girls together for the first time in almost a  year and a half

And I celebrated 6 months of dating this guy.

It was a good weekend.

Photo a Day Week 1

Beautiful Trees by the lake at Pine Cove

Getting breakfast ready for 340 Middle School kids

I wash my face every day... and I use a different wash cloth every time because I've found it cuts down on breakouts.  I feel a little crazy, but it seems to work for me

November

I cannot believe it is November 1.  This year has flown by so far and I fully expect November and December to be even crazier!

I decided this month to try to do photo a day again.  So here's a start:

I absolutely love my Spiced Pumpkin Candle from Yankee Candle.  My awesome friend, Nicki, introduced me to it (and the wonders of pumpkin bread and decorating for fall) when we lived together in College.

The only thing better than the Spiced Pumpkin Candle?  Burning it when it's NOT 80 degrees outside.  But I'll huddle up in my apartment and pretend like it's fall weather outside too!

This weekend I am heading out of town to the Piney Woods of East Texas.  Definitely a much-needed get-a-way!
