So I mentioned that I made us matching pajamas for the Christmas season this year. Last year Cooper had some really cute Yeti Christmas pajamas that his Aunt Aja bought him and David and I bought some pants that were the same color and we all wore red shirts. This year I thought it would be fun to try out my hand at making the pajamas. I've made pajama pants before but it's been a while, but it was pretty simple. I bought this fabric while it was on sale before Thanksgiving and followed a few different pajama pant tutorials online. I followed this one pretty closely using pairs of our pajama pants (and Cooper's jeans) to make a pattern for each pair. Then I bought blank shirts from Amazon and Hobby Lobby and used these free files to make freezer paper stencils and then painted on the designs. It took me a couple of days to make it all, but it came together pretty easily.
And here they are! We put them on to drive around and look at Christmas lights tonight. I love how they turned out. Last year we picked one night and wore our Christmas pajamas to go look at lights, so I thought it would be fun to do it again.
Love these boys and so grateful that David is willing to indulge me in wearing matching pajamas.
We drove around for over an hour and went out to Deerfield in Plano. Cooper loved the lights and he especially loves his sugar cookie and "apple cider" (about 1 oz of apple cider and 6 oz of water). It was a great night! Can't wait for more times wearing our pajamas this year.
